THE DATE
The setting was nice.
The atmosphere lovely.
I sat down, facing him.
He stares back at me right in the eye.
For a minute, we sat that way silence filling the air.
Not aware of the surroundings.
Then the waiter came, and we're back in reality.
We began talking, talking and talking.
Then he told me what his purpose of going out with me was.
So I listened.
I was engrossed at the way he speaks,
I took the advantage of looking through his face, what a handsome and suave
young men he was.
Not paying any attention of what he says, I pretended to hear and nod my head once in a while.
Oh how lovely, I wish this could go on forever.
But soon his words fell to my ears.
This time round, I took a great interest at what he was trying to say.
He got my attention, and I nod to his every word.
But somehow, I was still puzzled.
Then I told him I didn't understand, so with all his effort he repeated what he just said.
Still I don't understand.
He repeated again.
Now slowly, I try to take in every words he's saying. Try to understand it visually in my head.
So that is how it goes, I told him.
I was so overjoyed when I understood what he was saying.
I felt relieved in finally understanding it.
I jumped and hugged him tight, like I never hugged before and kissed him on the cheek.
He smiled, said that glad he is of help.
Suddenly, I sat upright.
Looking around searching for him.
But I only found my Econs Lecture notes infront of me,
my real date.
I was dreaming.
A day spent with MicroEcons can be tiresome,
thus leading to unnecessary and comical dreams.
It was a good dream, I wished it was true.
Well, at least if the Mr Economist is.
Hah.
Oh my Mr Economist, why do you only appear in my dreams?
So does this cheat your feelings?
HAHAHA!
I found what I've been searching for.
The lost friend.
No more.
=))
Yours Truly,
HASYiMAH
