ABOVE IT ALL

Seeing someone for the first time in a few years always pleases me. Especially when they are your childhood friend whom you've lost contact with. 5 years, 5 long years never have I thought of bumping into him at an unusual place. Once was at banquet while I was awaiting a friend to watch a movie, and there he was eating with his family. When we looked at each other somehow, we had the same expression, I call it the 'is-that-really-you, i-havent-seen-you-for-a-very-long-time' expression. So we waved and exchange a few words, I was smiling from ear to ear. How happy I was to bump into him on that day, and so very amazed at how he still remembers me. Maybe cos of my chubby cheeks, that's why I'm recognisable, yes? Haha.

The second one was just recently, after a few months from the first one, of all places this is the most unsual bumping place to begin with. A few days ago as I was about to get into the car, I looked up at the people walking on the corridor of level 3, somehow, he just looked too familiar, and again, we exchange a wave and a hi. I laughed after that, thinking, wow of all places. From kindergarten to primary school and then we went on to different secondary school. Through out the secondary school days, never once have I met him. Weird isn't? How we lived in the same town but never met since. It truly is. Ahh, childhood days... I'm still yearning to bump into some of my other friends.

At least now I have a reason to smile for.
