CYCLING
I vividly remembered the excitement I felt when I was about 6 years old, I would look forward to every weekend. Because then, my father would take me and my big brother down to the void deck to play with our little bicycle. Me and him would race each other, and then when he won, I would cry because he laughed at me. Whereas when I did won, he would say I was not playing a fair game and insisted on another round. Being me, I ignored him with that big smile on my face and played my ownself feeling happy that I've defeated my big brother. Hah. Kids, we can do anything at that point of time. I must say, I picked up learning how to bike pretty early in my life. The first two-wheels bicycle try, I fell a few times, but that did not hindered me from picking myself up and trying to ride it again. It was due to the fact that I wanted to show my big brother that I can ride the bike he rode that I never gave up, furthermore, I wanted to show him that he was a good teacher. Within a few days, I mastered the art of riding a two-wheeled bicycle. =)). Thanks to his teachings and my determination to learn, my life was filled with beautiful memories of riding a bicycle and cycling.
October 2004.

Then in 2004, I went for a night-ride hike organised by Mr
Chua, the then 3N2 form teacher. Although I was not from 3N2 but most of my close friends were from there, I got the privileged to follow them on this journey. Imagine, 30 odd 15-years old students with a teacher and a student leader, we ventured through Singapore at night with our bicycles and it became the most memorable ride in my life. Up the roads, down the slopes through the expressways and some deserted places, we bike all night long and only reached at the main entrance of the school gate early the next morning. In the wee hours of the morning, we parked our bike and hike up
Macritchie reservoir to the treetop (which was not completed yet at that point of time) in total darkness and with our sleeping bag, we lay on a spot and looked up to the sky. We stayed there for a while before continuing our bike journey. I couldn't thank Mr
Chua enough for letting me go and
Aliff,
Shahidah and
Shazleen for persuading me to go. =)). Hey guys, look how nerdy we were back in those days.
HAH!
28 August 2007. People who went.
The fun we had.

If people were to ask me, how's poly life? How's your class? I would reply with a big smile, saying I'm having a blast in there and my class are superbly uber fantabulous! All the vocabulary that is used to describe 'great' would come out of my mouth. As today's topic is related to cycling, I'm going to share what today's event were. Some of us decided to head up to East Coast Park to cycle. Though in the first few hours of our arrival to the place there, we were stuck in the bad weather but I guess it was all worthwhile to wait, wasn't it? Got stuck in the underground for 1 hour because the rain was so heavy and we couldn't walk to ECP unsheltered. Waited in parkway parade till the rain was only drizzling and made our way back to ECP. Rented the bikes and off we go. It has been a long time since I ride a bike, and riding it back for the first time after such a long break, the nostalgic feeling came back. Hah. Just breezing thru the wind and talking to each other while riding, made all the thoughts in my head disappear. Smile, big smiles were planted on our faces. It was great hanging out with them and certainly, cycling after the exams are therapeutic. ;) Now lets just wait for the chalet aite guys.
I shall blog no more since its getting too wordy, though I would love to write it in details. Heh. As usual, pictures will be uploaded to my multiply soon. You guys made my day today. Thank You.
Have a great day people!
=))
